I highly recommend this modern Afghanistan war book by Clinton Romesha. The author was not only a soldier, but also an excellent writer. The battle was over in less than a day, but you get the play-by-play as it goes down. Plenty of action. Amazing how men can run when they're full shrapnel.

Jake Tapper's "Outpost" was also about this battle, but was more in-depth to the history of COP Keating. Like all previous battle history, commanders pressure soldiers into unsound dangerous action. Anyway, you need to read the book to find out. Another good read.
