I have decided to redo my Marine Landing diorama. I will try to salvage most of the terraine and make it just a little larger. I will remove the beach add a road and tank.
I have created some hills and areas for cover. I lowered the road slightly in the rear to add dimension. I marked out with circles where the palms will go.
Did most of the painting and added some rock. Put in some plant material. I need to touch up the hills with paint and the ground - road needs to be done.
This is the finished product. It was differcult to light and photograph. I needed a few different angles to show it properly. The palm trees were time consuming but worth it.
I would like to thank Chuck Harris for giving me the inspiration to begin this project. His Firgarti Stuart captured japanese tank overwhelmed me. I have some Firgarti and K&C soldiers mixed in.
My favourite pic is in post #7. I like the idea of seeing a diorama from all angles but like most artistic work there is often a good side or 'front', and I think the shot in post #7 is it because it gives the scene excellent depth. I like viewpoints that lead a viewer into a scene and give the diorama depth and realism whilst telling the story.
