Tom, I agree with Dave that it's a very nice set.
I would have never ID them as Reeves though. The only Reeves that I'm familiar with are pained in matte colors.
Were they available in both finishes or does the time period when they were made determine the finish?
Tom, So I take it that the oldest figures are gloss, then later semi gloss then most current matte. Is this correct?
Do you happen to know the years for the changes in the finish?

I recently have seen some on ebay that looked new. Are these still being made/imported? If so, do you know where to purchase them?
And lastly, Is there a set number of figures to each set/style of figures? Like you boxers, there are 8 figures & the cannon.
I know that they were available seperately and not in boxed sets.
Chuck
Thanks Tom for the info.
Luckily for me the only ones that are of interest me are the boxer figures. With eight to collect that's not too bad. Even if Reeves didn't make the cannon it still looks good with your figures.

If I'm not mistaken, KW made only one cannon, and used that same casting for all series that fell into the black powder and musketry era, so, from the Revolutionary War through the Napoleonic Wars to the Civil War. It's a pretty klunky casting, too, but it does the job.
I have to go back and look at my catalogs, too, and refresh my memory about these things. A lot of my KW/Reeves figures are packed up.
Prost!
