I'm watching the 6 part series of which the film is just a cut down version,i hope they don't ruin a classic.

Is it possible in today's Uber politically correct environment to remake a film on such difficult topic and improve it?
I'm with Lancer, this is a futile gesture.
Is there anything more disappointing than such a great story distorted beyond recognition such as "Red Tails"?

Yes, it is a classic, so no real need to redo it. I think there'd be a better path in making 'Forgotten Soldier'. Especially as the West/East devide is opening up again....
