REN001-REN013 German Landsknechts of the Renaissance!!! (1 Viewer)

All look nice, but the flag bearers and drummer are remarkable. Must have at least one or two. I have learned from past purchases that First Legion really shines with drummers and other figures that offer a chance of finely detailed sculpting and painting.

A really good book for a good overview of the period is "The Renaissance At War" by Thomas Arnold. It covers all the major battles and gives basic information on tactics and equipment.
I am curious to see what releases for the opposition will be.
Thanks for posting this. I will look this up. -- Al

There is no need to buy them all :rolleyes2::D You can do a sample of 4 from the new Medieval figures and 4 crusaders like I am trying to do, and a few AWI. That way I get a taste of them.

Terry

Hi Terry ,
That's a great way to get on board with several lines and not go broke :wink2: , but I must admit I suffer from the worst of all sicknesses for collectors I'm a completist :redface2: . I will look at the first four and think about them till I get them and then all I can think about is the next ones I want .. It terrible but I have been this way all my life with all my collections . I'm sure I'm not the only one or at least I hope I'm not ^&grin .. Regards Gebhard

I apologize if someone has already explained this, but I'm wondering what it says on the REN003 flag? Not knowing German, I have to ask.

Hi Noah,
In this case I would translate "Noch Weiter" into "Let's keep going" or "Move on".
Cheers!

We are very pleased to start the pre-order of the first 13 figures in our newest figure range, the Renaissance. REN001-REN013 are German Landsknechts with command from the Battle of Pavia in 1525. There is an officer, an equisitely detailed drummer, 2 x standard bearers, and 8 different Landsknechts with Pikes. As you can see, these figures are extremely colorful with stunning painting and sculpting. Certainly some of the finest figures we've created to date. These figures will be shipping to dealers and customers around the end of November 2011.

Fantastic photo and scenic elements Andreas. The figure is superb. Although I don't have any of the Landesknechts it is one of my favorite series, from afar :smile2:

Stunning figures, beautifully and creatively photographed. Very impressive. Congratulations. I wish I could afford to collect this range, as well as the Crusades that I already collect, but funds won't permit that. I'll have to be content to view submissions like this one. Thanks for posting.

I presently have a clear preference for the Pavia and Agincourt ranges. ^&grin
