I went a couple of days ago to " Les invalides" museum, and outside were some tanks. One "Matilda" and one " Renault"... It would be nice to see this made by some manufacturer...
The most powerful of French tanks in service in 1940 was an old-fashioned formula, its main artillery being placed in the bunker which reduced the score latitude.
However its armor of 60 mm could not be pierced by any enemy tanks. He had a powerful armament (two canons 75 and 47 mm, 2 machine guns of 7.5 mm) and good mobility in difficult terrain.
The battalions of tanks had less than 400 B1 and B1 bis in May 1940.
