Hello,
I was always impressed with Valmy’s repaint of a Starlux g.i., http://www.treefrogtreasures.com/fo...4-save-the-privates-Starlux&highlight=Starlux, and decided to follow his example.

I purchased two Starlux ‘modern’ figures and repainted them as the French Foreign Legion, 1 R.E.P., at Suez in 1956. This unit was originally based in Algeria prior to operation Musketeer. Please excuse the photographs, they are not great but give a fair idea of the before and after.
I am also working a base to display them on. More later.

Hello Benjamin,
really nice work and an interesting subject. Always great to see the magic that can be done by collectors turning stock figures into something special.
I know that STARLUX has made some great figurines which IMO would deserve much more attention. Thank you for sharing.

Hello Wolfgang,
Thanks for the kind comments. I had a great time repainting these figures. I do agree with you about Starlux figures.
Best wishes,
Benjamin

They came up well Benjamin.

I'm tempted to have an attempt at some Qiuralu figures in a similar vein to these.
