I am thinking of dressing up for the next toy soldier show after seeing all of the wonderful looking folks who did so last weekend at the show.

Does anybody have a link or recommendation on where to start looking for uniforms pieces? What companies make good stuff? I am mainly interested in either WWI and FIW & AWI eras if that matters. Thanks in advance for the help. {sm4}

Try Google, too. I started looking at the requirements to re-enact the Revolutionary War a couple years ago, and just a search on "revolutionary war reenactors" returned a list of groups, including outfitters. The main problem I noted was cost. Because so many groups have authenticity requirements, the raw materials like cloth must be prepared as they were back then, no modern fibers or dyes, for example, and so, you could spend a lot of money.

For WWII, you can just go to flea markets and pick up pieces. The market has gotten tougher that it used to be, but with time and a little effort, you could put together a kit.

Prost!
