I have been thinking about pursuing the now retiring Roman line and was surprised to find no listings any where on the web apart from those most recently retired and still available at TF and other retailers. Anyone know of any sources?

Hi Spitfrnd,

Not sure if these particular models are ones you've already seen but Toysoldiers Paris seem to have a good selection of the retired K&C Romans still in stock below:

I appreciate that shipping could be the fly in the ointment there, however!

Cheers,

Molloy.

About three months ago I did exactly this. It can be done but you have to search multiple dealers. I would start with Troops of Time. I found a lot of the Barbarians there.

Take Care

Yes, you must have found Tim 'the barbarian' Tyler and his band of scalywags.

Funny - I think 'Tim Tyler' and 'Barbarian' are about as far apart as two words can be...;)

I`ve got a BAR-0001 and a BAR-0006 for sale at original retail, Mint, boxed, if Your interested?

BAR001 is a must to have. As great as BR051.

I have all the Barbarians and really love them. It looks like Andy had abandoned the serie and it is a deception for me. Too bad, obviously it wasn't a financial success :(

I am also very disapointed K&C discontinued this line. Most collectors I know think these were the best toy soldiers ever made by K&C. My favorite one was the Celt with two heads on a standard, amazing sculpting and painting. I wonder why weren't these Barbarians a success...

I hope K&C makes a few Vikings in the future, even if only to offer Conte some competition.

Yes i confirm it ..i have "Gruesome Trophies" the celt with the heads , i bought it just because is a beautiful piece..i hope to collect the rest(here in Italy is easy to find the romans,my brother who's in Rome says it's the only K&C he can find.., and for the barbarians there's still some site selling them)..i hope they'll be replaced by something similar (Ancient Egypt is wonderful but non my cup of tea) , i think to some roman street scene (in Hong Kong style)..here in Italy could be really a hit.

Yes, Mark, I'd love to see more Barbarians from K&C too. I heard some complaints their Barbarians were not from a single tribe, there were Celts, Ostrogoths, Franks, etc... among them. I liked that, if you ask me, and I hope K&C will return to the Dark Ages in the future. There's certainly a lot of potential buyers out there.

I think Ancient Egypt is ok, but it's not my cup of tea either, I'd never collect them.
:(
