Hi all,

does anyone here have the retired 88 Gun/crew?? if I had one set to pick from to own it would be that one, I loved the base/ crew it came with, absolutely one of if not the best sets K&C made in my humble opinion...Sammy

King&Country produced a real beast a few years ago. I talking about the WS103. When I start buying this model had already been retired...To get it I had to pay almost 250 euros..

K & C has made four over the years: WS 20 and WS 20W, WS 57 (the best one I think) and WS 103.

Andy has more or less indicated that we are not likely to see another one. Perhaps he will change his mind, though.

I agree. Of the 88'ss I have had from a few manufacturers (K&C, Figarti, TCS, Minichamps) when it came time to reduce my collection, WS057 was the only one I kept. Along with the 2 sets of gunners, the K&C Prime Mover and 2 sets of seated soldiers for the Prime Mover, IMO an iconic set up there in status with the Winter Tiger. The whole package WWS052, WS053, WS054, WS055, WS056 & WS057

Isn't "Not Grey" a good colour ^&grin

The 88's didn't come in grey anyway - that's why no one makes them. They only look grey from B&W photos from the war :rolleyes2::wink2:^&grin

Just some prices in regards to the winter WS 20 & 21. At OTSN 2013 a guy had the set for sale asking $1400. I came back the next day it was gone he sold it for $1200. The next year I took mine and traded it to a dealer for $800 in trade. He in turn sold it I believe for $850. I would guess if you found one it would fetch in the $500 to $550 range.
Those old WS sets used to be money in the bank. Unfortunetly that bank went south!

I think WS 20 would go for around 500 today, the winter version around 600.

Sorry Sammy, gone to a gentleman in Oregon, but when I had them I used this (my Favorite set) with the Pietro winter tiger I have for sale, as Resupplying Ammo to the tiger.

awesome set and makes a nice set up with the pak/75 and crew with the halftrack near buy. when i bought this i added the sturmgeschutz when i should have bought the tiger. There was no kubelwagen at that persons table at ostn way way back
