Once flanked by the King's 8th Regiment of Foot and their Seneca allies, Captain Hoff ordered the 1st New York and the militia back to Putnam's Stockade. It was then that his Quartermaster reminded him that the stockade wouldn't be available for protection until sometime in April.

Some more pics of my pair of blockhouses.

Very nice indeed, it seems the British figures are K&C and fit in well with the JJ stuff. BTW welcome to the forum.

Thanks Jeff. Yes, the British figures are K&C as well as the New York Colonials and the milita. They do fit well with the JJ figures, although they seem to be just a "tad" taller. You would think that 60mm would be more standard. I plan on creating a stockade. The typical stockade of the times had two blockhouse built on opposite corners of teh fort. That's the reason behind me ordering two. I also have two sets of the stockade pre-ordered. By the way, there actually was a "fort" Putnam in the Mohawk River valley in Scholarie County New York - actually it was a blockhouse erected on Cornelius Putnam's farm circa 1780.

mestell,

Nice setup, K&C and JJ! Welcome to the forum, you will fit right in.

Hi neighbor,
I live just to the north of you near the MN, SD, ND border. Winter sure does suck and having toy soldiers sure does make these cold, windy, dark, cloudy, depressing, and I choose to live here days go better. I got my blockhouse today and I too have been playing. I like the idea of two. Can you imagine when the stockade comes out, four blockhouses. Expensive, but cool. I like the way you have used it with other figures and other time periods. Great stuff John makes. I hope he keeps making stuff for many years cause I will keep buying them. Welcome to the forum.
