spad1.jpgspad2.jpgspad3.jpgspad4.jpg Here is the Revell 1/28 scale Spad 7 representing Eddie Rickenbackers bird. I made this because I missed out on the John Jenkins Designs version.

Nicely done model. Believe that to be the classic Spad 13 by Revell, with the early version rounded wingtips, not a Spad 7. This model also has the Spad 13 tail shape. -- Al

You are correct Sir. Thank you for the input. Dont know where I got the 7 from. Thats why I like this forum, you guys know your game. Working on an adversary for the Spad, a Fokker DR1. Cant decide on paint scheme though. So many possibilities.

Thanks Wayne, I called it a Spad 7 and it is really a Spad 13. I need to brush up on my Roman numerals.

The Spad 7 was widely used by the Allied air forces from 1916 until the end of the war. Both Spads were mainstays of France and the USAS so the ID of one for the other is not an uncommon mistake. As for your new venture with the Fokker, give the website fokkerdr1.com a look. There is a section with a lot of color profiles to choose from. -- Al

Very nice work.
It looks like I need a Spad in my collection :)
