Just a simple picture of one of my favorite K&C set of figures. Set VN110 is only two figures, but I think K&C did a terrific job with the natural walking poses that makes these figures come to life.

May l ask a technical question ... is the second man pictured wearing an ammo box to the left on his belt ? If so, would it be for spare rifle mags or M60 ammo ?

Many thanks in advance.

Yeah, he’s carrying a spare ammo box and ammo belts that would be used with an M60. While he doesn’t have an M60, good news is the M60 and M14 rifle the figure is carrying shoot the same 7.62mm NATO ammunition.

Great looking vignette Duke, you certainly take excellent photos 👍🏻

Hi Od
I believe he's carrying a hundred linked rounds box on a sling as well as the M1956 webbing pouches his belt. Though from photos you usually see Marines carrying M1961 single magazine ammunition webbing pouches as part of what Marines usually term their 782 gear. (782 being the US Navy form for individual gear issue.) M1961 webbing only being issued to Marines at the time the US Army was issuing the M1956 stuff which became more universal across the services as time went by.

My Vietnam combat vet said in addition to carrying your own combat load, everyone in the squad carried ammo for the M60 machine-gun.

G’Day Duke,
Your creativity never fails to surprise and delight me and I am sure many others on this Forum…
Congrats again on a little gem of a display.

I enjoy all our figures but ‘Vietnam’ has in the last few years been particularly enjoyable to work on and learn a whole lot more about.

When K&C and myself got back into it I never realised how long it’s ‘legs’ would be however I ‘ve since realised that I sure ain’t the only guy who is fascinated by it. Going forward we’ve got a lot of ideas and concepts that we’re working on and there are also no shortage of terrific suggestions from Vets and collectors…So, keep ‘em coming!

All the best,
Andy.

Thanks Andy. The K&C Vietnam series has gone up on my collection focus and is quickly becoming one of my largest collections. Thanks to you and your team for creating such great sets. Nice to hear that you have lots of ideas to keep the series going. Keep up the good work my friend. I remember several years back at the Chicago Show when the Vietnam series was just getting under way and talking with you about it.
