I stumbled onto this show about a month ago and one of the best things I've seen in a long time.
Rita is a teacher in an elementary school and a single mother of three: a son in high school, an older son and a daughter but are more mature and grounded than their mother.
Rita, although a great teacher who looks out for the kids, struggles to manage her own relationships with family and friends and her social life is chaotic. She sneaks cigarettes in the school bathroom and has relationship with the school principal. She is basically a nonconformist.
The plots seem true to life and it's not like anything you'd see on US Television, than goodness.
There are three seasons of eight episodes each, about 40 minutes in length. In Danish, with subtitles.
Don't know if they'll make a fourth. God, I hope so.
