If anyone has the new Rolls Royce, could you post some photos of your own of this item. I'd like to get see an additional "unofficial" photo since the color in these two photos below is different due to the lighting. Thanks!

Hello all,

Had a couple of questions about the Rolls Royce, if anyone has one yet. Does the turret rotate and can the flag be removed?

Rif.

Rif: Received mine today. Turret rotates and flag can be removed. Waiting on crewman to be placed in turret opening. Kurt: Bottom photo is true color. Tommy

Hi Kurt, I have just taken a quick photo of the Armoured Car I bought at the Toy Soldier Show. I did try to explain the difference between my pics and the official ones
at the end of the London Show thread. Don't know if you saw it? Anyway here's the pic of mine........... In my opinion the colour of my A/C viewed with the naked eye
is pretty much spot on to the official photo ( the darker shade. ) It comes in 3pcs, Turret. Flag & body .

Cheers, Roy.

Tommy, Thank you for the information. Do you think JJD will come out with a desert version or even a western front version with a camo pattern?

Think I'm going to add this one to the list.

Thanks for the feedback on the color... and the photo, Roy. Looks like this is going at or near the top of the 'what to buy next' list.

The "Western Desert Force" fielded something awfully similar to this at Beda Fomm in early 1941:

I believe that the unit which used the vehicles was part of an RAF armored-car squadron attached to the 11th Hussars.

Really a fine looking RR model. I know it is a mundane detail, but the wheels really make this model outstanding for me. They just look great. The wheels look to be spoked on both inside and outside. Superb detail. -- Al

Rif: I doubt it for WWI as to camo. I read somewhere that several of these vehicles were still in use in the Middle East when WWII started and in use for awhile so maybe a desert paint job would be available. Tommy PS: See WWII B & L photo in this thread.

These weren't manufactured in huge numbers, but they were involved in some important actions:

The Lawrence of Arabia connection would be a nice "hook," don't you think?^&cool

I finally got the Rolls Royce and love the model but... are these painting imperfections and chipping or is it supposed to be weathering/battle damage??

I have the same marks in the same position.

I love this model!
