Rommel meets the "Star of Afrika" (2 Viewers)

Been meaning to comment about this splendid dio, Duke. You know this is up my alley! I have some of the pieces, but that hangar is one that I never picked up. Excellent addition to a N. African airfield scene. Great colors and as you've pictured with the sand and palm, looks great! Well done my friend.

Edit: and I notice the face of your Jochen Marseille is just as "pitted" as mine. Not sure what happened to this figure. I was a bit disappointed with the facial quality.

When we bought something of King&Country we expect at least quality on theis products, since this is not a cheap hobby...

The face of my Jochen Marseille is too "pitted". It was one of my first pieces i bought, so at the time i had high expectations since it was on of the famous german pilot of ww2. When i looked at the figure and the quality of the facial...i felt i bit disapointed. Maybe a problem with the production of this figure i guess.....

Thanks everyone for the comments and likes.

I figured you would like this scene WO since you have an extensive WWII North Africa desert collection with lots of AK. The hangar is a nice piece and since I have several desert airplanes K&C, 21st Century, etc., figured it would come in handy.

Interesting to find out about the face on the figure of Marseille. Sounds like it was a problem with this specifically this figure.

For our other readers, the model comes with a figure:

Can't offer meaningful comment on the pits, but KC's rendering of this infamous ladies-man has some dandy dimples!

Edit: Here's a pic of Hans in approximately 60mm:

Harder to appreciate the dimples with the naked eye!

Lord knows why the UI does this, but my "60mm figure" above has been resized and elarged. If you want to see the figure in something closer to 60mm, right-click on the pic and select "view image."
