Santa left Rommel's Rod under the tree my 1st model kit in years...Should be a fun project and a nice change from painting figures.
Will post some pics.....if it turns out ok.

Sweet! I look forward to some build progress pics.

The Monogram Tom Daniels kits were all a lot of fun, but I find that trying to build one now, AMS (Advanced Modeler Syndrome) takes over. I have the Red Baron hot rod on my bench; I started it for a group build in a modeling forum, 3 or 4 years ago. After stripping the chrome from the chromed parts (so I could properly clean up the seams), and getting it about 80% done, I lost interest, because the last 20% was giving me fits. Ah, for the days when I was 10, and I would have had it glued up and decalled an hour after opening the box!

Prost!

Very nice I have built a couple of these and they are great kits. Look forward to seeing the completed item. Hope some manufacturers are not looking in or it will be the next ''real'' release!!LOL

I agree Mitch I think these Monogram kits are rather good,
Baron ok some pics as I go....I don't suffer from AMS and rather glad its just a easy kit to put together like you I did plenty of kits as a kid
And would think nothing of sitting down for a few days and gluing lots of fiddly bits together......but those days are long over!
I glued this bad boy together in just a few hours nice and simple....{front wheels not glued on yet}
as im going to just hit the whole thing with a grey primmer.....not to fussed about the chrome bits as they will be re-painted.
A quick pic taken outside.
