This is my first attempt at a diorama.

It's been both a pain and a pleasue.

It has been both expensive and fun.

I started this project on 7/24/2008.

I know it's small and I need a lot more Zulus, a lot more, but I've run out of stuff to do so, I'll post what I have.

I have 32 more painted Henchcliff 24th Foot Foot arriving shortly.

I have 50 more unpainted Henchcliff Zulu arriving shortly.

I have 32 plastic unpainted Call to Arms and Conte arriving shortly, and also 13 more 24th Foot Frontline coming.

For the first time in 3-4 weeks my dining room table and work bench is clear.

I couldn't find a table to buy that would fit in the limited space I had available, so I built and stained this one.

I will post more pictures in a month or so, it will get bigger and it will get better.

Thanks to all that gave me advice on material and purchases, especially you Joe.

Thanks for the look, I really hope you enjoy it.

Michael

Wow!
That looks both cool, and a lot of fun. I can see you've pushed the boat out stocking this dio up, but it's worth it, as the photos show.
Great job!

I will be adding to this on the Next UPS delivery. I will take just a few photos next time, I know I went a little overboard with my camera.

Thanks for viewing, hope you enjoyed, tonight I will eat dinner at a clear table,

Michael

Most impressive!!.......and this is your first attempt? This hobby is meant to be fun and a pleasure and it looks as if you had plenty of both.

Well done.

Jeff

Thank you very much Jeff,

Joe gave me a lot of advice and a lot of help,

Michael

What a fantastic display Michael. Thank you very much for sharing it !!! I look forward to your updates.

Beautiful and inspirational Michael; I can truely tell that many dollars were involved but they certainly were spent wisely and effectively. Can you give us a rundown on which groups of figures are which, at least in rough terms? Very well done indeed.

Very nice. I like your use of various makers diorama materials to put the entire compound together. Also, great painting on the figures.:cool::cool::):)

Great job Mike! FUN is the key word. I can tell you are having a blast.
Excellent.

Michael,

Wonderful job with your acquisitions and your landscaping! Have fun and...EAT at the dining room table, not at the Natal Table;) Mike

Very nice display and nice set-up. Looking forward to more pictures.

Enjoyed watching you building your Rorke's Drift and the results Michael and glad to see that you've posted your photos. Joining all of those looking forward to seeing your next batch of photos......Joe

When the master is on hand for advice, it would be unwise not to tap in to it.
Are those JG buildings?

Good eye, yes they are JG, Joe told me they are a little small for scale, but I was so limited on space. Thanks again, Michael
