Well I have no idea if it is fair dinkum. After all it is the Internet. I didn't think
the guards were allowed to leave their post. Anyway serious business and not for tourists' amusement.

Don't know if this is genuine or not, but having seen the Guards at this very spot they cross over quite often ( not sure if they are meant to though) and about three weeks ago I saw one of them say something and smile to a young woman watching as he passed.

We aren't allowed to "chit chat" but there are times that you do need to speak to the public. A look is sometimes enough but "Make way for her majesty's guard" at full voice shifts them.^&grin

I am going to the Cabinet War rooms tomorrow and on my way I walk right past these Guards, I'll try sitting on the fence!{eek3}^&grin
