That's a great building-so many dio possibilities

Nice building let down by straight joints on both side of a building?

It's a necessary compromise. Practicality. The pieces are separate in order to allow for multiple display options, ease during shipping etc. I hope to refine my methods but it's an ungoing process.

Cheers,
Ollie

Ollie I understand that but for me it distracts from the rest of the building as you would never get a building with a straight joint down both sides in the real world , personally I would hide the joints both ends

Subs I get your point, but for me being able to break the building down is a real plus, especially when it comes to shipping costs and ease of use for different display options. Plus hiding the joins can be easily solved with rubble, broken timbers etc.

International postage has gone through the roof due to Covid and coupled with our poor exchange rate with the UK (52 NZ cents against the pound) any savings on postage is gratefully received.

Don't get me wrong I love 3x dimensional buildings, but they're expensive to post, hence why I'm grabbing some of Ollie's facades.

As I say not getting at ya, just pointing out why his stuff is so attractive.

Cheers Toddy

Toddy from a building point of view that house would not be made as it not tied in to the rest of the building ,for a expensive building I would not expect to see it honestly , also plaster is not a strong material that break easily

Fair enough.

Regarding the plaster and saying it breaks easily, some are harder than others. I've experimented extensively and chose a strong one and it doesn't break easily. I've shipped around 50 all over the world and without issues since adapting a robust packing method was essential. I've slammed, kicked and dropped the packages to test they hold out and they do so I have every confidence. Should a model break or should a customer be unhappy, I'm ready to work with them to make sure they're completely content.

Ollie

So don't buy it then? There will always be compromises with models, not just in the Toy Soldier world either.

Fair call Neil, I guess it comes down to personal preference and want you're into.

The plaster thing doesn't concern me too much.

The buildings and facade's appealed to me straight away and I've made a small order.

Will try and post photo's once received.

Cheers.

overall it a nice building mate but from someone who work in the building industry the two straight joints both ends would not happen and should be hidden and leave it at that
