For those that don't know the Prominade Concerts are an anual event at the Royal Albert Hall London. The last night always involves a lot of audiance participation and is not quite as jingoistic as you might assume, just look at the flags, not all Union flags. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rB5Nbp_gmgQ

Martin,

we get this 'down under on TV and radio every year, and I'd love to go and see the 'real thing' one day when I get to UK.

Only problem is getting a ticket AND its not on when the Toy Soldier Shows are scheduled, which is what I arrange my trips around :(

If you search youtube 2009 was a great performance. Sarah Connolly singing Gershwin and Alison Balsom playing "Libertango".

I had this clip archived in my music album: re "Land of Hope and Glory Last Night of the Proms 2009".

It was composed by Edward Elgar and the lyrics by A. C. Benson.

It is played on the last night of the BBC Proms every year, if I am not wrong.

For maximum effect, turn off the TV, shut the door and turn up the volume.

Cheers, Raymond.:)
