Here are a few of the conversions that I did on fubars russians. The first was the most difficult and half the figure is 2 part millput putty. I cut the standing to repel figure in half which was not easy because the metal is very hard, and then made a pair of new legs with the putty but the weight of the figure kept crushing the legs so I had to make them oversized let them harden and then carve them out of the hardened putty.
Here are some before and after pictures.

Here are a couple more conversions. These are just some cutting and switching of arms. The figure with the pistol had his right arm cut off and replaced and the other arm was replaced and the hands from one of the other russains holding a musket put onto him only the musket had 2 hands on it so I had to use my dremel tool to remove the other hand. The pistol hand was taken from the officer which harold sends with a sword or a pistol so you can choose which one you like. The other figure was just given the left arm of one of the artillary figures.

Here is a simple conversion to a jager by cutting off the grenadier plum and removing the extra flames from the shako plate and cartridge box and just a little repainting.

Here are a couple of conversions from an artillary ramrod gunner changed to a flag bearer and holding a musket with a new 2 part putty scrath built hand. Also inclued are harolds new officer head and his origanal flag bearer. The flag was a bit to top heavy for base so I enlarged it with 2 part putty to make it more stable.

Note the new scratch built hand! The musket was from the wounded figures that harold sent me. I need to get some new muskets from harold for them now.

Those baricades look hand made! Looks like you are going all out on the artillery too. The rammer would make a great conversion for some one advancing at the ready.;)

The baricades are just a few sticks from the back yard that I drilled out and took tooth picks and stuck in the drilled holes and added a bit of paint to the tooth picks and you have yourself a great little piece! These would work great for civil war also!

Hey Harold any chance we can get a look at the french figures in great coats you,ve been working on???

Fish, Here he is with a russian head.Poor bugger has been sitting unattended to all winter long. I cast a bunch the other day so I can make a production mold. This is the only image I have, everythings at the farm.

I also added the shoulder brushes and made a Sword/Bayonet frog for Elite troops. Going to do several heads, Oilskin covered, full dress and Grenadier and Chassuer Bearskins.

Going to do at least 3 other greatcoat poses, then some Line Infantry in Campaign dress. Should be making molds of those by April/May.
Oh, And a couple good Russian Jager skrimish poses too.

The russians you painted look great.I converted another flagbearer last nite.I'll paint him and get a pic pretty soon.

very nice! I had thought to only do the north american war of 1812 but now I've got the urge for a file of Russians! Will you be releasing more sets to ebay then?

they look awesome! I know AIP has sets planned for later this year but I use most of my 54s for skirmish games, the AIP stuff makes good 'grunts'- but I want my 'hero' types to have 'character' :D These would make for perfect sergeants and heroes!
