Russians recast in Russia? (1 Viewer)

Any idea whether K&C or any of the other companies have registered patents in any or which country? What specifically was patented? The process of making? The design? Every piece of sculpt?

Even if these exist, I believe you can only stop the sales to the countries where the patents were registered as far as I know. If patents were registered in every country, the costs involved is probably prohibitively high. Just find it hard to grapple.

It's not a patent issue. The process by which toy soldiers are made may be patentable but I doubt it. This is an issue of someone making a copy, which is more copyright infringement.

I apologize, I have probably confused the issue by mentioning patents, in describing legal means to protect intellectual property, along with copyrights and trademarks. I didn't mean to imply that patents are involved directly in the issue of pirating copies of toy soldiers. I apologize for any confusion.

Prost!

I want to point out that this is not a copy of any K&C figure..the pose is strikingly similar but so is true with many of the Greek poses in 54 mm of EVERY manifacturer(the shield designs are very limited if one want to obtain a degree of historical accuracy)..the figure resembles AG013, but is different in many respects.Another point is discuss wether these figures are copy of kits of of other manufacturers (Pegaso for instance if i remember) .You understand that if K&C sues for these it will limit its possibility of creating anything new or inspired by other figures...i can certanly bring you many examples. This only my opinion.

King and Country arent the only ones being copied. We are lucky the Russians arent on treefrog-...... i brought this up in the past on this forum and it got ugly fast! I chose to walk away from the discussion with the help of the Mods. Still. it left me with a bad taste in my mouth.
