Wayne your Titles in French are a bit confusing . Séjour means sojourn or residence. "Stay" in French translates as "Restez or assis (sit)" when your talking to a dog
But still a nice dio
guy:)

I agree with Guy, I would have used "Restez." Although "Séjour" is a literal translation, sometimes the online translations are too literal (if that makes sense). I find them to be helpful, but only as a guide.

"Séjour" is to be seen as a sojourn, or a place to go, or the main room in a house .
Here, stay, said to a dog is an order and is a verb : rester

So you would say : "Reste, reste gamin"

Imperative
you stay
we Let´s stay
you stay

reste
restons
restez

Nice diorama
