Ebay should step in here and do the right thing, the seller used them as a source to sell the item and misrepresented it, they cannot and should not allow that sort of thing to happen and let people get away with it.

I am sure if the buyer sends them a picture of the item vs the picture used in the auction, they will clearly see what was sent was not what was advertised.

Resolving it through Paypal is not an option as the buyer did not pay the seller with Paypal, he paid via check/money order.

I guess the thing that is upsetting here is the sellers attitude of "you bought it, too bad, sell it on Ebay if you don't want it, it was mint when I sent it", blah, blah, blah...........

I think most people who have been on the forum a little while will know exactly who the seller is, and it's not the first time this has happened.

Amen!:(

Still haven't recieved that other fire for AN016!:(

I hope buying on ebay is not turning out like Las Vegas and having to gamble on if the listing/description is correct, until you get the item.:cool:

It is terrible that this has happened yet again! I only learned of this situation a little while ago but it has been going on far to long, and affected quite a few members.

I would encourage members to contact long standing members with known collections before you spend serious money with folks you do not know.

Many of us are only to happy to help, and provide any information we might have on some of the "questionable" people trading lately.

This is most unfortunate, becareful out there the other shoe is about to drop!
Scary thing is, is that I was going to bid for it too...So here is an idea how about we each email shannon with who we know the person is...(I'm new here and know who were talking about already) then let shannon come to conclude the results?

Im curious, did the seller even have paypal as an option?

This transaction was done via Ebay, not the forum, so not sure what your point is.

We all know who the person is as does she.

Disgusting behaviour.....Shame.....

I bid on something on ebay and I'm winning it however it is from this seller!:(

I understood the transaction was on Ebay...I didn't understand she knew who the person was for certain...I appologize, I was only trying to make it 100% for her to make sure...since no names were being mentioned.

Cancel your bids! No sense doing business with someone like this.

No matter what the piece is, no matter the price.

You already know what the end result will be.

Understood and trust me; sadly, she knows 1000% who it is. The vast majority of the members do as well sorry to report...............

Come on matey, you should know better. You are a good kid and I don't want to see you get hosed again, I know how much of an Arnhem fan you are.

Do as John suggested and cancel your bid asap.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, so run for the hills on this one.

Oh and let us all know when the campfire for the armored car shows up that was promised to you, perhaps it's coming via rowboat.........

Looks like Arnhem44mad has been outbid on one of them, and the second one is still at a low price so he will likely be outbid but he should really cancel the bid.

I'm glad I now know the sellers e-bay name and location he sells from so I can avoid him in the future.

I just had a look on Ebay, first time in ages I've done so.

The seller has a 100% positive feedback and it does say on both of his auctions you have a money back guarantee, so perhaps the buyer should look into that.

Oh and I caugh this one; shipping for the jeep is 33.00.

33.00 for shipping a jeep?

Not to mention when I typed in King & Country for a search, quite a few of the items are listed as K & C but are not K & C, plus quite a few items listed as buy it nows are current production pieces and the buy it now prices are inflated by 10% to 20% in afew cases.

And people are bidding over and above retail on some items.

Boy, PT Barnum really was right.....................

How about someone shooting me a PM on who this is here. Toyking has a full inbox!

Thanks,

Darrell

Hey George, do you think the seller has built a further profit into the shipping? How can a jeep cost north of $30 to ship in the US? You hit the nail on the head about all the non-KC listings with the KC catagory. An obvious attempt to ride coattails. At least I know now who to ignore on e-bay as well as the forum. I never knew the e-bay ID prior to this evening. I wonder how he has a 100% rating? Strange. -- Al

Al; like I said, I haven't looked at Ebay in years.

After looking for five minutes, it is amazing to see the amount of people who are getting taken advantage of.

The most amazing thing to me is the number of CURRENT production items on there being listed as "retired" and the buy it now prices over and above retail and worst of all, the bidders who are bidding over and above current suggested retail.

Sad really to be frank.

The amount of fraud and deception is amazing; people really need to do their homework, you'd think with all the information out there via the internet people would know better.

Can somebody PM me some details? I don't know who it is & I don't see any $765 Arnhem sale on completed listings. What am I missing?

OK- got it. Thanks to all who replied.

Funny ebay will let seller's block buyers, but won't let buyers block sellers!
