One of the most enjoyable aspects of collecting toy soldiers and vehicles is utilizing various pieces for something completely different. TG's Bantam Jeep and a recent addition to my collection, the British Utility Vehicle, proved most useful for these safari scenes. Appreciate Robin for his safari idea/diorama he created a while back.

On a side note, I love TG's British Utility Vehicle (Land Rover). I had not purchased previously as all of my Aussie collection is WWII Pacific. Receiving it today, I paired mine with the elephant and K&C's AE figures for this safari scene and plan to utilize for a few scenes in the future. Of course, I can't wait until TG releases the Roman Lions. Mine may be going back to Africa. ^&grin

That’s great Rob. Really enjoying this theme. Certainly getting up close and personal with the animals. Agree there are some TG animals on the horizon that will compliment. Well done. Robin.
ps looking forward to seeing what else you can come up with.

Rob we are also hoping for a Tiger as well assuming we can master the painting aspects, which are more tricky than a Lion, but we are hoping the results will be worth it.
So you maybe taking a trip to India as well!

Thanks Robin. I actually purchased a few more animals but they are a bit large (1:24 scale I think).

Super cool! This could make for a brand new theme.

Yeah a Tiger could come in use elsewhere !
You know it, Steve!

Yes it’s not easy to find 1/30 animals, so TG going down that path will be welcomed. Robin.

Robin, I totally agree mate.

I have a life long interest in animals and have dozens of animal and hunting books in my collection. I also purchased several 1/24 scale animals that I intended to use in my displays. Sadly as a scale nut and perfectionist I have found them too large to include in my 1/30 displays and look forward to more animals being available in 1/30 scale.
