Just wanted to make mention of Bill Sager for a moment. Bill has helped me out recently and I think it should be brought to the fore front for other collectors to see. When I had first heard of the Napoleonic Varients being released, like any other Napoleonic collector, I quickly placed my pre-order with my dealer here in Canada. I waited and waited and waited only to learn that the figures were on back order. I began thinking that perhaps there was some foul play and I made mention of it on this forum (In the end my hunch turned out to be wrong). Bill contacted me in the mean time and told me he had a complete set and would hold a set of these for me until I knew what was happening with my dealer (being careful NOT to harm another dealer but wanting to help out another collector). This was very nice of him to do given the fact that he could have sold the set 10 times by now. On top of this just to show you what kind of a gentlemen and business man he is I had made mention that I was looking for some older "Collector" books and phamplets, what did Mr. Sager do but go looking for these books and then turned around and mailed them to me free of charge!!!!! While waiting for these figures I bagan having doubts about some of them and their quality, I guess that is what happens when you wait tooooooo long. Well folks I got them today from my dealer in Canada and they are works of art and well worth the wait!!!! I wanted to be sure that these kind deeds by Bill didn't go unchecked or unnoticed.
Knowing what kind of business Bill runs I will surely do business in the future with him. For any new collectors out there, his business is A1 along with Tree Frog. Here is his site which is EXCELLENT I might add, full of up to date information and sales of K&C. It just goes to show that ANDY and K&C carefully hand pick out the best dealers in the world to act as front line reps for their business.

WELLINGTON[I have also ordered Napoleonic figures from Bill and experienced the same kind of responsiveness.]

I can't add much more than what Wellington said but the man is a class act all the way. I've had some dealings with him recently and it's been nothing but super. I met him this weekend and I'm glad he came. I don't want him to get a swell head however, since....

Not only is Bill a class act, but I think that 99% or maybe even 100% of all the other dealers are too. Sure, this is a very small market and word of mouth can destroy a dealers reputation in a heart beat and they are very aware of it; but, I have found that all the dealers I have dealt with in the past three or four years have been honest, fair, friendly and very, very customer oriented. Many do things that your local hometown main street store does. Save sets for you when you can't afford them, look for retired sets, etc. This is very different experience than that of going to one of the big box stores and trying to find customer service at this level. These great dealers make collecting very enjoyable experience. I wish I could shop at all of them and spread my money around, but I have chosen a few to deal with more than the others just because it’s easier for me to remember what the heck I have done. Bills the best, I've had some pretty extensive dealings with Bill and he's dedicated to K&C and to his customers. The only suprise I've ever had from bill is his always going the extra mile for me. I'd say his dedication to K&C and the hobby in general is second only to his dedication to his daughters cheerleading, Wait! that's probably were his K&C dealership dollars go!

Bill is a great guy, a top notch dealer, and his website is an invaluable reference for K&C collectors. I agree with everything said on this thread complimentary to Bill, and hope he joins us at the Symposium again next year! Can't wait to see the photos you took at the Symposium on your website!

I've dealt with Bill as well. Great experience all around. His website is a real gem! It has been very helpful for this newbie! Keep up the great work! :)

It's Bill Sagar Day!

Yup, Bill's great.
He is also quite a gourmand and identified quite a few "mystery foods" for me at the symposium this past weekend. The waiter would put a plate of something in front of me and I'd have to say, "Now what is it Bill?"
He got way too much enjoyment out of talking me into tasting these seafood delicacies and then watching my face to see what I thought of them. I had to keep reminding him that I live in the MIDWEST where we don't have oceans or much seafood for that matter.
I enjoyed getting to know Bill and everyone else at the symposium better this weekend. See you all in Chicago!

Well I feel like I'm on cloud 9:eek:

I'm trying to keep all this prase from going to my head:D

Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I have enjoyed this hobby from the beginning and will enjoy it for a long as I am capable. It's such a wonderful thing to talk to collectors who share the same enthusiasm as I do about K&C and toy soldier collecting. What better job could someone have?

The Symposium this past weekend demonstrated how easy it is for people from around the world to come together to eat, drink and talk toy soldier collecting. There was not an upset person in the house. We all could not wait to hear a story about finding that elusive piece or from Andy about what he was going to make next.

I have dealt with and spoken to just about every K&C dealer at some point in time and all are great to deal with! Sure we all have a problem at some moment but I think that the majority of dealers will work through it to have a satisfied customer.

Thanks again to everyone for the uplifting comments. I really do appreciate it!

My Best Regards,
Bill Sager

Bill I'm glad that you saw how much your dedication to this hobby means to people.

Cheers
Wellington (Brian)....:)
