SAM037-SAM040 Fighting Samurai Warriors (1 Viewer)

Have any other members' new Samurai been shipped yet? 14th May today and no mention of ship dates other than 'Early May'
🙁🙁

No Treefrog dispatches yet

I'm sure they are already on their way to TF and will be shipped out to customers as soon as they arrive, looking forward to seeing collectors pictures. They always show better

Attached are photos of SAM038. This was the only figure of the four that I purchased secondary to cost. I am impressed by the detail of the figure, but to be honest I don't see a huge step up from a $70-$80 Retreat from Russia figure. I really like the small flowers on each of the scabbards though. Samurai collectors are going to be happy by these releases.

Ill add my pics and thoughts to this thread on these Samurai.

Initial impression on these figures is that they are magnificent. From what I've seen from First Legion this is their best work to date! The detailing on these figures is top level as is the painting. I think the price is justified when you see the amount of work that goes into painting these Samurai.

Do I think they're on par with Aeroart(not that they should be)? Not yet but they are definitely up there in terms of the detail on these figures at about $100 less than an Aeroart figure.

The only gripe I had with these figures were the swords. I wish they could have been shiny, stainless steel like the mounted Samurai FL has released in the past.

If your on the fence don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed with these figures. They truly are amazing!

Great work Matt and hopefully sales are strong enough to encourage you to keep this line alive and kicking!

FL should make the Samurai in a series of moves depicting movement of slices, parrying, thrusting, etc and complimented with attackers. My mom took me to dozens of Samurai movies when I was a kid. Their moves were like poetry in motion. Their form were classic. FL's spear guy is classic. FL should also put great effort into their swords. It is the soul of the Samurai and should be depicted as such. I don't collect the FL Samurai (sorry Matt) and shouldn't throw stones. At least I got the FL Vietnam series.

I will have these on display in San Antonio this weekend for those of you going to that Show! Then you can see all the detail in person :)

Just receieved the other 2 Samurai. As stated in my last post, besides the swords not being stainless steel they are excellent figures!

Here's a side by side comparison pic with Aeroarts version of Ii Naomasa

Here are the new additions. I wish the packaging was as good as the figures 😳
