Colonial Log Cabin.

I picked up this piece at the San Antonio show.

He had two of them on the table.

$22.00

It's made of foam,

lightweight but really sturdy,

very detailed even the inside walls and floor are detailed,

the roof comes off,

and it fits John Jenkin's French Indian War era really good.

The scale looks about perfect.

I stood a Jenkin's figure next to it to give you an idea.

I only wish I had bought both pieces.

I couldn't make one this good.

Looks like a lot of time went into it for the price.

Barricade or Jetty????

I'm not sure what this piece is.

It was also $22.00.

It came from the same dealer as the Log cabin.

It kind of reminded me of the K&C jetty, in color and height.

I think it would good along a river bank as a dock or standing alone as a barricade or fortification.

It's foam also,

lightweight but very sturdy.

The detail on the walls is good, the chipped plaster, the cannon damage, the brick detail.

It has a catwalk on one side.

Both pieces came together.

I put a JJ's figure on the catwalk to show the scale.

I guess I could have made this, but for $22.00 it's over 2 foot long.

Pretty good price especially for the detail.

Rock or fence or fortifications???????

This was a bargain.

I bought 4 of them at $3.00 each.

They are rock fortifications with a fence.

Could make a good coral, a fence, a gate section or a battle embankment.

They came unfinished, just a smooth unpainted brown finish.

I wish I had taken a photo of them before painting and adding some groundwork, sorry.

They are a foot long each.

I just primed them, painted them and added some groundwork to them.

They came out okay, for the price I'm sure I can use them several different ways.

Supply bags.

No bargain here.

I paid $5.00 a piece for these.

I just loved the detail on them though.

The burlap bags are so realistic, you can actually feel the threads in them.

The painting is top notch, the weathering is great and the lettering is really good.

I couldn't make them this good.

I tried to get a lower price, but he wasn't budging, so................

I can use these a million different ways though, especially with the whaleboats and Rangers.

There are some pretty good deals at the show.

Those are Ron Barzso walls from the fortified hacienda.

I dunno Ed,

The show price is cheaper than his web price and there was not shipping involved, so I gotta be happy.

Yes, he certainly does no doubt about that.

Thx Jeff and Ed,

It's great when I know that collectors appreciate my work! Lots of work, lots of fun and totally worth the sleep depredation!

Jim

Jim have you done lots of the work for the Barzo buildings: the wooden fort, longhouse, the castle, the log cabins, the stone fort, etc.?

Russell, I started scultping buildings and terrain pieces for Ron Barzso a few year ago. My first project was the Shores of Tripoli buildings, shore batteries and the Pirate Fortress.. I've done all his foam parts since - Robin Hood Manor House and walls, Castle, Fortified Hacienda, Fortified Abbey, Daniel Boone playset, Boonesborough, Blockhouse over the Gate, trees, river sections..

I did NOT do the stone fort or the earlier log cabins...The stone fort is awesome - I think Ron did that one himself...

Thx,

Jim
