Is the up and coming Santa in Jeep comes with a removable Santa and supply/gift stack?

At OTSN I thought Andy stated that the supply/gift pack would be stationary and not removeable.I forgot to ask about the Santa.Darn it!! Poor recon work on my behalf...

Fellows! Reference the Santa Jeep, everything is fixed in place except the Santa and his seat which is removable from the vehicle.

Do you all know how Bill Moore knows this??? Cause he talked Andy into selling him the one that was at OTSN so he didnt have to ship it back to Hong Kong! I was sitting in the room and kicking myself for not thinking of asking him first! U snooze...U loose!

Thanks for the info. Are the gift stacks glued or molded to the jeep? (I'm sure the driver is molded just like in the "Friend or Foe" jeep/BoBA)

Thanks,

I definitely see the potential of having this jeep offered as a separate set without the Santa and little modification needed (i.e. a seat replacing Santa and different cargo etc...)
Although this is a nicely sculpted piece, I personally would have perferred to have had the Santa piece themed in a more neutral scenrio away from the WWII sets.

Hi Guys,

Santa and his bag of goodies are all “cemented” into the jeep for safety reasons and because that’s how I always envisaged this little Christmas set.

By the by, at the recent Chicago Show in my room where I display upcoming pieces, it was one of the most popular!

Don’t worry jeep fans (and I am one) K & C do plan on releasing other jeep variations in 2006.

Best wishes and…happy collecting!

I really like how Andy narrowly misses a licensing check made out to Coca-Cola.

Slick.

Andy:

I just cancelled my 2 pre-order “Santa in Jeep” from my dealer. Don’t get me wrong. This is a very beautiful piece. It would blend well with my Hallmark Christmas collection but would like to play with it after the holiday season. I thought the Santa was removable as noted by Bill Moore describing the sample he bought from you at the Chicago show. I could live with the cemented gift stack and driver; but prefer them to be removable as I do dioramas depicting parked and abandoned vehicles. You did well with the DUKW (bought 2) and Weapons Carrier’s (bought 5) removable supply/cargo stack. By the way, I pre-ordered 4 HT w/ Mortar, 3 Howitzer Pack and one each of the BoBA and BoBG series. These are byooooootiful!!

Anyways, looking forward to seeing other variations of the jeep (w/ mounted 50 MG and/or towed 37mm AT maybe?), the M3 White Scout Car (U.S.), Tank Transporter (U.S.?) or the M32 Tank Recovery Vehicle (or both?), and hopefully a M3A2 Half Track Personnel Carrier with seated troops and cupola. Do I also see German Opel Maultier HT, Opel or MB Blitz Truck, Motorcycle (with side car), Horsch, (I think the 2 new companies, British Commando and Tempest are launching these new German series) and the British Lorry?

Here’s a tip: Most of us will be getting our 2006 income tax refunds on or before April 15. A perfect time to launch the 2006 lines. Starting to feel like Christmas in April 2006!

Merry Christmas!
