"Metalocalypse" is sort of the Monkees on metal, it follows the fictional death-speed-metal band Dethklok through their misadventures. There is a lot of spoofing of actual bands, as well as references to comics and horror movies. The music is all original, and the show is actually pretty clever, even if many of the metalheads who post about it on Youtube don't seem to understand that it's a spoof, not necessary an hommage.
