Well, let's see now. My list includes the artillery set, one of the Napoleons and most likely the dismounted trooper as well. Thanks for the update Mike. :)

Those look good, I am so new I am still working on "Jackson In The Valley"...Just love those sets especially after 1st gear took over.......

I'm still trying to play catch up too, but I'll probably end up getting almost everything eventually.

My list includes 3 Napoleon Guns, the Loading Canister gun set w/crew, and both dismounted cavalry troopers. If the "guns" come in I will end up with a 6-gun Union artilery battery. Of course I will have to crew three of the guns.

IMHO since WB and First Gear became partners, the ACW sets that they offer are the best (especially as far as historical accuracy goes) available on the market today.

Sometimes I enjoy the "hunt" for the retired and hard to find sets as much as anything in this hobby.

I guess this is why I am only getting one for starters.

Completely agree with you here Mike, and they just look great anyway.

Too true, and I have done a fair amount of scrounging for some of these earlier sets this Spring and Summer. :)

Any guesses on the likely arrival of this Union artillery set?

MD

I hope that they will make caissons and limbers in the future to go with those guns and to make your battery complete.

Yes, and also would love to see a mounted C.O. to complete the scene eventually.

I have heard that the Napoleon gun and the "Loading Canister" sets are expected sometime next week - that's according to one dealer I know.

One of the things I asked Ken Osen about when he was here last week. With a twinkle in his eye and a wink he mentioned that these were planned future offerings - no dates mentioned however.

An artillery officer, especially mounted, would be a nice offering.

Just found these available for the first time today at an eBay store that I frequent from time to time. So the Union artillery is here finally . . . . .we should start seeing wide distribution soon I would think. I have my sets pre-ordered from another source. The sets offered at this eBay store are being offered at below MSRP and appear to be limited in available inventory.

The guns will oviously be the same but the 4-man crews will all be done in different poses.

I put my order in with Treefrog on the new Artillery Set and several of the new figures coming out in August. Love all the new stuff - still debating on buying the Field Hospital Sets? Has anyone else jump on those and what do you think about them ??

Looking forward to more exciting Artillery releases in the future !

Must keep my Britains Artillery Battery going !! :D

Ron, I have both the hospital wagon and the stretcher sets and I am very pleased with both - in my opinion a must have. One of the stretcher bearers are uniformed as a member of the 114th PA Zouaves (fought second day at Gettysburg in the Peach Orchard). Next year, WB will be introducing more 114th PA infantry Zouaves. I have the rest of the field hospital sets pre-ordered along with the barn which I will use as the actual field hospital building. Should make a great scene.

Thanks for the reply - still debating the issue - although I think the hospital scene is very original and would look great. I guess I need to hear from Ken if more figures are planned with this mini range ?

I think the craftmanship on these figures is outstanding ! :D

Dollars and Display Space always play into my decisions with my purchases - Artillery is easy - I have a display space to add on to for the new releases. The Hospital Set would have to have its own space - so if more are planned that would tip me into buying the figures and wagon. I would get more for the display space :)

Loving your collection - Mike - hope to get mine up there one day soon.

Hi Ron!
In addition to the ambulance and stretcher party, there is a two figure set of wounded and a nurse already in production and scheduled to arrive later this year.
Early next year we will add a few more figures to add to this section of the range to create a scene with some depth.
ACW is one of our favorites and there are plenty of new figures and accessories currently in development for both sides of the conflict.
I hope this helps a bit,
Ken

Hello, hot day from Spain, I have reserved the figures of the Union cavalry, there will be more the next year? are my favorites of the American Civil War:D
Best regards
Francisco
