Scots and the myth / truth about under their kilts (1 Viewer)

These are beautiful figures and the sub-kilt detail is a plus. I have worn the 18th century "Great Kilt" and one can be exposed while running and bending. It's a big piece of tartan material. I have heard of cases in the 1600s of Highlanders taking off their kilts to preserve this expensive garment, and fighting in the their shirts. There's no evidence of this in the period artwork on the "45" that I have seen so far.
