I just got my new John Jenkin's SF-04, French Militia set today.

Here are some close ups for the John Jenkin's fans.

The first thing I noticed when unpacking them, was the unreal weight of the figures.

They are really hefty in the weight department.

The figure in the blue coat, firing the musket, weighs 6 ounces.

6 ounces for a "standing" figure!

Just for references sake, if that doesn't register, that is 1/3 of a pound.

Now I love my Frontline, and I love my K&C, and I'm not looking for an arguement, but just for references sake,

I weighed a Frontline 24th Foot "firing" and he weighed less than 2 1/2 ounces.

I weighed a K&C Saracen, and he weighed 3 1/2 ounces.

Again, I love my Frontline and I love my K&C figures, but these French Militia of John Jenkins are some weighty boys.

These are some of the heaviest, strongest, most solid figures I have ever picked up.

If you have multiple boxes coming,

don't read the labels before opening.

You will be amazed at the weight of this 3 figure box.
