Just a few photos from another one of the Shallow Shelf vignettes I set up last fall, With space at a premium a little creativeness mixed with a periodic rotation of displays keep these shelves active.

Walt Damon (photos may need to be reworked...if so stay tuned)

Figures from the John Jenkins F&IW sets. A train of British and Colonial Wagons pass by an Indian village.

Walt...your work is soooooooooo nice...those are terrific shelf dioramas and a nice tribute to JJD and the FIW...

Great diorama Walt! I love the concept as well- great way to integrate all those elements. Long-time-no-see: I will have to take a day off college and stop by for a meeting sometime.....

Shortage of space....(surely a problem of all toy soldier collectors) is often the mother of invention for many great ideas of how to display our cherished collections!!.....This is one of those very good ideas!!!!!.

Very interesting use of both the figures and, what could have been a tricky space.A mixture of 18th century figures, but it comes together very well.Congratulations.

Super nice use of space AND sets in this great setup and display.

Can you tell me about the Wigwam and the fire pit. Are they home made or a third party purchase? ... ^&confuse
I am trying to build some Wigwams myself and they look interesting.
Many Thanks --- Larry

You do just what I do for My dios. I call them My shelf dios. I am also limited to space in My den. 95% of My dios are of the ACW, north and south. I am working on a wagon train going to supply a calvary encampment. You do a great job. Keep up the great work and happy collecting. "Mr Colt 45":):):)

Larry the wigwam is a resin kit from http://www.meridianaitalia.com. Not an easy build as some pieces were warped, but the detail is excellent. I primed it and then painted it in artist oils. The fire pit is from build a Rama.

Thank you Walt .... actually "Warped" may be a feature .. ... as the Wigwams were assembled in a more "haram-scarem" fashion. Not that they weren't structurally very sound and functional, they used what they had. --- Larry
