I see that there has been an announcement of the return of Sharpe, on September 30th 2021 we will see Sharpe's Assassin released.

|I am really looking forward to this release, Bernard Cornwell has bought to us 2 of the greatest historical fictional characters, Sharpe and Uhtred of Bebbanburg.

That's wonderful news :) :)

I have just finished reading War Lord, the final book in the "Lord Uhtred of Bebbanburg" series.

My daughter always buys me a book for my birthday or for Christmas, so I now know what to suggest for later this year :)

It’s about time. I was going to start that series all over again. I’m not sure how many time I’ve watch the DVD at my work bench.
Great news.
stay safe.

I watch them again and again, but the strange thing is when it comes on TV i will watch them as well. One thing i also have when working is the theme tune being sang by Danial Hagman, he is a folk singer in the UK, have a look on Youtube for some of his live videos.

Building on Walsingham's thread -- > Daniel Hagman -- is the ex poacher, best shot amongst Sharpe's chosen men. He was played by John Tams, a well established English folk singer, actor, and composer --> he was a major composer of the music for the stage play War Horse, later made into a film by Steven Spielberg. Tams was a musical director and actor at the National Theatre from 1976 to 1985 and then again from 1999 to 2001.

I found myself standing next to him at one of the bars in the National Theatre, prior to going in to seeing War Horse. In the brief time we spoke, he impressed as good company. Sadly it did not dawn on me who he was, until on my way back from the bar.

If memory serves me correctly he has helped out musically, supporting the British military charity - Help for Heroes.

Thanks for letting us know about another Sharpe adventure. Wonder what period it will cover.

The one thing I forgot.I also have the cassette tape from the show. It’s got all the songs from the shows. I’ll see if I can find it and post some pictures.
cheers
David.

On the weekend I got my birthday present from one of my daughters and the grandkids....
