Part 2 next week and then the DVD is released :) The screen plays are based on the four books previously released about Sharpes adventures in India.

That's a shame, I was hoping for more reading material. Still, should be a jolly good old romp through India, what? ;)

Good news...I bought Sharpes Challenge, which is India based...Liked it alot..The DVD has been out awhile now, in case you Sharpe fans missed it..It is a new adventure with Sharpe and Harper, after Waterloo.......The Indian babe from Top Chefs is in it. Michael

Hi folks what a treat to have Richard Sharpe back on our screens again, although looking much battle worn these days

Grrrr...had to miss the first part of this due to work commitments last night:mad:. I wouldn't mind as much but an identical situation happened two years ago with Sharpe's Challenge as it was aired right before the deadline for project work for my Leaving Cert (A-Levels/SATS in the UK/US).

Guess I'll be scouring the late night repeats and Youtube.

Never mind the DVD is out on the 10th, day after the second half is shown on tv.

Good man - thanks for the heads up. I think my Christmas wish-list has just increased!

Nice to have Sharpe back, but I much preferred the episodes set during the Peninsular Campaign.

Missing Hagman and Harris too!!! :)
