I wanted to share a picture of some great civil war figures I just received from Shenandoah Miniatures in Australia. I have been a fan of Paul Clarke's civil war figure kits for years. I recently noticed on his site that he now offers his kits painted in a matte finish. I ordered a few. They arrived in few weeks, and I was stunned by how good they turned out. I think they are very reasonably priced for this level of painting. They are true 54mm scale. I highly recommend them.

i've been thinking of ordering a few. did the grass come on the base or did u request it... thanks, andy

I realy like the Shenandoah kits (working on a couple right now)..they would have to be the most realistic Civil War figs on the Market .
I did notice on the website there are some New sets comming :)

I have really liked these kits for a long time but am not talented enough yet or have the time to put them together. How well do these blend in with Conte or WB ACW figures? Have you ever seen the figues assembled by Military Miniatures Warehouse? Are they the same?

Let me know.

Thx

The kits are superb as are Paul's painted figures-however, they are true 54mm and are therefore more than a tad smaller than either Britains or Conte.
I ended up settling on either crouching or prone poses easier to disguise their smaller size when mixing with the big boys in a dio. Like the figure below re-loading and the other Reb face on with the beard-both were kits that were easily assembled with a splash of Dulux paint;).

They really hadn't put anything much out for a couple of years but seem to be coming back this year.I like miniature kits because the give you more variations but like UKREB said they are true 54's.

The painted figures on the Military Miniatures Warehouse site are Shenandoah kits that were painted by Russian artists. I have a few of these as well, and the are excellent. You just can't beat the Russian painted figures !

This is a shenandoah set I picked up in Cambria at the Toy Soldier Gallery. It is the standard being passed.

Nice paint work UKReb and you are right they are a bit smaller then Conte or WB'S.
But they are just to nice to pass up...im thinking of doing a stand alone dio with them down the track at some stage as i pick a few up here and there :)
This one i did a few years ago when i got back into the hobby.

Nice set-up you got there and that Frontline figure of Longstreet was always one of my favorites of "Old Pete" but I never did manage to get him for my stash. However, I do have your Shenandoah Reb-well I think it's him-just painted him in a different set of duds-but amazingly I also placed him with Longstreet-which in this case was either an Andrea or Pegaso kit and closer to the Shenandoah size. So what about that for coincidence?;)

My scenario below was of Longstreet talking to his scout Harrison on the 3rd day at Gettysburg.

UKReb that sure is a Coincidence  that was just a fun pic i took about six months ago.
I don't know why but i realy like that pose...two others i have sitting on the bench waiting for a slap of paint.
kneeling biteing cartridge & standing reaching for Cartridge.
Ragnar
