Wow, that would seem to make them uncompetitive. I have never used any of them for international shipping and it sounds like now, I never will.

People don't know and often just pay it at the door on delivery. That is why when I order anything from the US, I make sure it is coming by USPS only. There have been a few times where the vendor will ship only by UPS or FedEx and I just don't buy from them.

I also won't pay $20 - $30 shipping for a single figure sent by express USPS when I regularly get single figures mailed to me from the US for $5 - $7.

I don't blame you. That is effectively highway robbery. That would be quite the shock on receipt if you didn't know and if you do, why would you ever pay that unless there was no alternative?
