I purchased an item using buy it now from a seller in Israel today.

The seller has a disclaimer stating that shipping will be delayed due to the war with Iran.

I sent a message along with my payment telling the seller that I understood the shipping delay.

My question is does eBay have protocols in place to protect the seller?

I do not want him to get negative feedback based on preset shipping requirements and timelines.

Unless you leave negative feedback that shouldn’t be an issue. However, eBay does grade you on whether you comply with your shipping policies (which the seller sets).

Julie & Brad:

Thank you.

The seller responded to my original message stating that he lives in central Tel Aviv and that he would ship as soon as possible.

I replied and reiterated that I understood the obvious limitations and that no matter what the timetable I would not leave negative feedback.
