Nice idea, can we please have the same theme with Great War Aussies and etc.

I'm with you Wayne, but I will buy this one too!!

This has whet my appetite.......what else is in the pipeline?

Looks good, I am interested. No need to think about it too much, the release schedule currently suggests we might see it next year. Robin.

I like the idea and where W. Britain are going here, this set is pretty nice but the Mrs. has a bit of " man hands" as Seinfield might say :)

I actually think the woman is sculpted better than comparable figures from other companies, with the exception of the hands. The sailor has petite hands -- it's almost like the hands should be switched!

Perhaps the size of the female figure's hand is exaggerated by it being closer to the camera. That might not account for the whole of the disparity, but it's a factor that has to be considered.

You may well be correct as her other hand is small compared to the sailors hand.

I have had the odd WB figure where the one hand is massive though...........Dalton from the Zulu line is one, looks like he has a crab claw.

This is exactly the case... the hands are the same size.
I liked the paint masters so much I took the photos before checking for small flaws such as the dirt in the primer coat, which has since been cleaned up. As a result there was some roughness in the skin areas in the Facebook images.
I will try to post some other pictures when I get time.
There are a couple of other young ladies in the summer catalog that compliment this set...

Yes, it's the camera angle. :)

Edit: already answered...

Hi Guys,

I have already replied to this thread. In my reply, I asked what else was in the pipeline.

Two days ago I was instructed on how to access the Britains' Facebook page (I don't do that stuff, normally!)

Well, well, well, there, besides the photo , posted above by Zack was another photo of a new figure, which to me, is as equally exciting as the "Shore Leave" set

It is of non other than that well known WWII celebrity "Rosie the Rivitter"

What a little beauty!!

If I knew how to do it, I'd post the photo [how about one of you young techno savvy guys do it for me?]

Where do I send my subscription to the "Rosie the Rivitter Fan Club" ? {Brett, you better order a few of these!!}

Happy Collecting.

Thanks for the heads-up!

The set arrived today, and it's a dandy:

Pictured above with "Rosie the Riveter" and "USMC Women's Reserve," "Shore Leave" really does strike me as being extraordinarily lifelike for figures cast in metal.

Combined with selected figures from the JT&L Range, the lot would make for a nice scene on a wartime street corner and/or city bus stop! ;)
