I've spent the last year working on the project that Andy refused to give me.
Unfortunately, I've searched every other makers products and been unable to find anything near what I need.
Any suggestions?
Ray

Ray its just great......but where are the wheels? Did they park it in South

Central L.A. last night?

On a serious note, you have really done a beautiful job, what is it made of?

You certainly have a lot of talent!

Thanks for posting my pics Brad, Don't know if I'll ever get the hang of reducing pic size.
The front half of the unit is a 1/24th scale diecast Franklin mint 41' Chevy pickup, heavily chopped, though both sides of the hood open to reveal the engine. I kept the body frame and scratch built the bed from Evergreen plastic modelling supplies, also scratch built the Lewis gun.
The figs are all K&C at least in part, the 2 in the front seat are from EA-10
scout car, ones stock and I had to add legs and an arm to the driver. The bren gunner is lower half K&C and head from Del Prado, the upper body as well as the legs from the driver are all modified Elastolin 1/24 model figure part modified.
The Main reason i posted this is those missing wheels! I have checked K&C, FOV, 21st, and anything even remotely like this in stores and can't find the wheels and tires necassary to complete this project.
I hate to have come this far, but this is where it ends if i can't get any help from you guys. HELP!

Ray how about some wheels, and axels from some of the early King & Country

vehicles? Perhaps the scout car? Would they be the proper scale?

I haven't seen the scout car up close, I may get one just to compare, the 3/4ton and 1-1/2 ton trucks are too small. These desert tires are kinda fat from what i can tell.

Ray,

Those trucks look fantastic, and the conversions on the figures are amazing. I really hope you find the right wheels, because your diorama is going to be unbelievable.

Ray,

Glad to help. I wonder if King and Country could help. They must have loads of odds and ends. Perhaps also a show.

The Staghound has oversized wheels if that is what's needed.........Michael

That's not a bad suggestion Brad, They have been great in the past, Although a set of wheels might be a bit much to ask, still I can only imagine the unending possibilities. It reminds me of when i was a kid and I went to Disneyland, all I could think about was how great it would be to get behind all those rides and into knooks and corners and see what was there!

As for shows, I was hoping to make the west coaster, but i just changed jobs, so thats out for this year, the next possibility would be San Antonio.

Thank you, but it will never be as nice as your museum.

Checkout this site: Motormint.com and click on Military Vehicles. There you'll find a 1/24 scale 1941 Chevy Truck Flat Bed with mounted Jeep...I believe this is by New Ray, but the wheels should be compatible with your LRDG Truck

I got one for the truck but the whole set is junk. At least I think so. I wasted $20.00 + s&h

Hi Chuck,
Thanks for the input, I was a bit suspicious, and it is 1/32nd which almost automatically makes it too small. It looks like another one I got earlier and even 1/32 was generous, I'd say more like 1/35?
