Show Your Trophy Collection – In Storage or On Display. (9 Viewers)

Not the best pictures of the HMS Lyon . I will need more light later
Thank you, Hawkeye, for posting my #1 Trophy target! More photos are very welcome. And please—do share the story of how you got it. What is its number? Did it cost you an arm and a leg... or just your collecting soul? 😄.

Pats, please share your story of how you captured the Lion—and its number too! I’m trying to establish patterns so I can track down this elusive beast myself. Think of it as big game hunting...no tranquilizers needed—just patience, luck, and probably a second mortgage.:)

Another hard one to obtain was the German set. Here I have it in two versions. One with white pants and black boots and the others darker tan and standing figures have grayish pants and brown boots. Both are the newer resulted sets

One version is slightly different because issued under Dragon Crest name, later issue

Here are a few more shots of some of my Trophy collection on display. A Confederate artillery crew, a Boer War Pontoon Bridge set (I always loved how Len would rig these sets so if you moved the figures holding the lines, the pontoon boat would move like the real thing - he did the same thing with the sailors operating the guns on the Eagle), Gordon of Khartoum and an Ox drawn ambulance wagon.

Great pieces indeed, Louis. Thank you for sharing.
