Good evening everyone

We are very pleased to announce the Third and Final Set in our Rorke's Drift - Zulu Storehouse Attack Collection. This will complete this mini collection. We are expecting this to be available late September / October.

BR20147 -- "The Deadly Dance" - Zulu Warrior and British 24th Foot Hand-to-Hand Set

This is a limited edition release of 500.

For those that have pre-ordered BR20143 -- Brothers in Arms - Hand-to-Hand Set and BR20146 -- "Thrust and Block!" - Zulu Warrior and British 24th Foot Hand-To-Hand Set. We will have an update out to you by the weekend.

We will have a pre-production sample available at the London Toy Soldier Show. Find us on the Grey Goose Stand, hope to see you there.

Your mini diorama using your 3 sets looks good. Interesting the 1st set limited to 300, 2nd 450 and the 3rd 500 . Get the feeling you are ramping up the numbers to cope for the future demand which bodes well for the series. Maybe the collectors will have to press you for a rocket team or mounted figures.^&grin, Robin.

He appears to be swinging his rifle at the Zulu whilst holding the bayonet ....^&confuse^&confuse^&confuse

I also noticed that, the Welsh must use a different technique than what I was taught by our Army. Suggest he choke up on his rifle before he goes into battle

Only in the toy soldier world would you find such perverse logic. Inherent danger that that demand will actually tail off. As no doubt the very limited sets will be snapped up. Stored away for a while. Then auctioned off on Ebay at enormous profit.

I wonder where the limited editions will go next for sierra....I also heard from ken that an uk shop will also have some azw exclusives

The first release will ship in the first week of June

The second release will be in August

The third release is scheduled for Sept/Oct

Just seen this as I have been away. Why is he holding the bayonet? What very poor sculpting and quality control IMO and I also see the items will be on the Grey Goose stand at the show. Why not on the Britains stand and available from The Guards shop people? (that is how I have normally pre ordered)

Never made a purchase from these Grey Goose people and was not aware they were a Britains stockist, maybe a new one?Does anyone know?

Ken Osen said at the Toronto toy soldier show that a UK shop would also be doing AZW exclusives as well and I don't recall in our conversation him saying it was Grey Goose... the question I should I have asked "would these exclusives be the same as what Sierra will issue or different." He was in demand that day and I only had a small window at the end of the show as Ken and Erika made every attempt to answer all questions humanly possible......An aside, It would make sense if they have a distributor on either side of the pond to help solve customer shipping woes after the modelzone experience. I believe WB ACW Fight for the Works (blue and gray series) is an exclusive to 4 different US toy soldier dealers so anything is possible...

Thanks zulucollector. I am confused now myself :) Will wait and see what I can find out in London. At least I may be able to buy the exclusives and not have to pay the extra costs now.

If Britains or any other manufacturers want exclusive limited edition sets that's fine I like LE's myself but they shouldn't be in just one country or region as it disappoint's collectors of that range who aren't in the region that has them.

I agree postage was very expensive for the Modelzone AZW sets, but I am glad I ordered them.

I do not want to speak for Sierra but I believe they do not have an actual table at the London show and Grey Goose is being kind enough to share some of its space. Mike from Sierra will be in attendance at the show.

I hope that helps.

I just received an email that the 1st Sierra Toy Soldier AZW Exclusive has been shipped.{sm4}

Yep mine is on it's way too. First of the 3 releases, two to go.^&cool, Robin.

hello

I have a simple question - will there be a distributor for the other two Zulu sets?

I think only Ken Osen can answer that one with any accuracy... My guess is that not likely as why would anyone jump in after another dealer has already announced them as they will have forgone all those first mover sales including ones in their own region. Not sure why Britains has a US dealer doing AZW exclusives as that is like a uk dealer doing ACW but being Cdn I am liking it compared to the flat out robbery that was modelzone shipping. Sierra has a reputation for reasonable shipping costs so I would likely order from them and not wait in the hope that a UK dealer does this exclusive. Going forward as I have said a few times now, Ken said that AZW exclusives from a UK dealer are forthcoming..... but the question remains will they be the same or different than Sierra.....

I can see why he is holdig the Bayonet. If he is swinging the rifle as a weapon Davy Crockett style and he was choked up on the rifle he would end up with a nasty slice across his chest from the Bayonet When he applied the homerun swing on the Zulu. I have this range in Glossy and wish they would add to it.

I guess you got your wish after all based on the London show news...
