Hi all

Local owner of a model shop invited me to do some simple Airfix figure conversions to generate some commercial interest for the brand. So I had an audience of seven which was a record (the previous event apparently had only two). There was some healthy internet traffics on this according to the owner who was pleased. Anyway, I mng to demo three simple conversions to this stage. Had a pleasant time interacting with other likeminded souls.

While sculpting more bisons, I also reworked this polish lancer horse. Changed the hind leg posture

I reworked the pose for the basketballer. Decided to base it on a pose made famous by Michael Jordan. Started on the legs and extended it. Then the arms as well.

Nicely done! What medium are you using to fill in the gaps? I'd like to give it a try . . .

Hi Al

i use a two part epoxy putty of resin and hardener. Various brands are A+B, milliput, Duro and knedatite. Hope that helps.

Vic.

Duro, Kneadatite, and "greenstuff" are different names for the same product. I use Apoxie Sculpt, which is similar to another brand: Magic Sculpt. I prefer them to Milliput for ease of use. Buy the smallest quantity available, they seem to last forever. I see the online prices are frequently very inflated, so shop around.

Some minor updates. Horse pose is done. Bldg up the fig details slowly.
