To Louis , Larry & Hans I really don`t know where to begin. For the members on the board who don`t know them personally & are not able to attend the symposium I`d like to share a few thoughts . First there was Louis loaning me a great book about N. Africa after I told him I liked it , not to mention inviting my girlfriend out to dinner at Tiro A Segno (she`s still a semi - tourist) . Then there is Larry , on the way home from Valley Forge last May I mentioned a few retired sets that were on my wish list .Well not only did Larry find them but he found them at a price that was hard to believe. From the opening dinner to walking back to Larry`s talking with Hans it was a very very good time.
As for the "Scotsman" I don`t think you will find any owner in the industry who values each & every collector in addition to their input the way Andy does. He really is interested in hearing what we have to say & does appreciate our business , I can personally vouch for that.
So thanks again from Mike Maria & I & hopefully it won`t be a year until we can get together again.

Joe,

You are very welcome, and can stop by my place and visit anytime. Andy said he hopes to visit New York this summer, and if so, I hope you three will join us at a mini symposium during Andy's visit.

I could not agree more......I flew in on Saturday morning and flew out Sunday night and I can tell you it was well worth the trip. Getting together with people that share this hobby has always been extremely rewarding. As for our hosts, Louis, Larry and Hans all I can say is Thank You....what a group of first class guys to call friends! I have told no less than 8 people already if they are in New York they have to eat at Larry’s restaurant Tse Yang...what an outstanding meal enjoyed by all on Saturday night. I think you all have gotten a good look at The Badolato Collection but I'm here to tell you that until you see that place in person you haven’t seen anything! Amazing! For those of you able to join the webcast I think we got a peek at the future which will be fun since you don’t have to be there in person to still enjoy the interaction.

Andy and Gordon…well you all know how lucky we are to have the “owners” of our little hobby so assessable and willing to hear all the ideas and suggestions. I do not own a single piece from another line…not saying the other guys are bad….I just know I cant get it all so I’m sticking to what brought me in and keeps me in this hobby….King & Country, they truly have “earned” my Historical Miniature dollars!

It’s hard to come back to the “normal job” and grind after such a great weekend….but something has to pay for all the great items that seem to be on the horizon.

All my best,
Brian W.

P.S. I have in my hands a great picture of our host Louis on Sunday at the lunch that will show you the effort it takes to put on this event....if he lets me show it! Please encourage him to allow me to release it for your viewing! :D

Brian, I'm glad you snapped it because by the time I got my camera out it was too late. I doubt he'd mind if you posted it but I guess you're right, you'd better wait to hear from him.:p

Ok...so you want to know what it feels like to host a whole weekend of solider fanatics at your house....this is what you will look like Sunday at lunch! Much thanks again to Louis for opening his home to us all...Cheers my friend! :D P.S. I would never had posted this without his permission so thanks also for being a good sport!

It appears that Louis works very hard, he’s an attorney ya know; and we all know they work very hard (don't they Brad:rolleyes: ); well maybe hardly:p . Perhaps he should take up a hobby for relaxation. ;)

The big question is Louis dreaming about:

1) New Warbirds

2) A New 88 AK or 88 Eastern front

3) Being alone with Andy on a deserted Island with a lifetime supply of K&C Products

4) Owning the sole New York Marketing rights for King and Country

5) NAPOLEON

:D :D :D

1) New Warbirds

:D :D :D[/QUOTE]

It's number one all the way - like counting sheep.

Something tells me Gideon might have a problem with #4 and as far as #5 goes....who is that?? ....was he some French solider in WWII??? :D

Don't start Ron off now!!,he's trying to be a good boy!!!
