I just got this guy today...

Sir Walter De La Mer...

MK-054...

K&C did good here...he's a beauty for sure...:D

and weighs in...at an impressive 15 ounces...

almost 1 solid pound...

they did a great job on this guy...

I put him with a Saracen (1/2 of the MK-051 set) to stage a small fight...

a Barzo...Shore's of Tripoli building for a background...

and flipped their positions to show both sides...

Are the names of these knights actual historical persons or are they made up names?

Mark...

I looked up Sir Robert of Abbotsinch on the Internet once...

Abbotsinch...it's a real town with some castle ruins...but I think the names are fictional...

ask K&C to get the real answer...

the figure...Richard the Lionheart...was definitely a real king of England...:D

Saladin was real too.Hey congrats to me I just made Major-General.God are we in trouble.:D

I have seniority by joining first but you outrank me by merit which is very well deserved.

I outrank you only by my trivial, inane, useless posts where I rant mindlessly sometimes...(like this one...hehehe) but kudos to you...you're a veteran here...that's for sure...

thank you Papa Z.....

With all the set ups you do your the master.
Mark

A very nice acquisition Michael - this mounted knight is also one of my favorites in my collection - great color.
