Greetings fellow collectors,

Question: Are the King and Country, First Legion, and W. Brittain soldiers the same scale or different? I am specifically wondering about the American Civil War figures by manufacturer.

Thank you very much!

Hello Dave,

First, you might wish to search the Forum as this question has received a HUGE amount of attention (both in words and in imagery) over the last few years.

However, as a brief response:

GENERALLY: King and Country <-> Thomas Gunn <-> John Jenkins <-> Collectors Showcase are all (somewhat) compatible in size to each other.

GENERALLY: First Legion <-> William Britain <-> War Park go well together (in regards to size)

As I mentioned, hunt around n the Forum threads and you will find a wealth of information.

Welcome,

Dave,

If you’re just interested in American Civil War, you should know — in case you don’t — that King & Country no longer makes Civil War although you can find what they made on the secondary market, i.e., eBay.

First Legion and William Britain work very well together sizewise (they are both 1/30) although stylistically they are different from one another. I believe K & C is also 1/30 but may be a tad bigger. At any rate, the Civil War soldiers K & C made after 2006 were very nice — well sculpted and painted — and it’s a shame they stopped making them.
