The new club figures look really good and, the Skorzeny figure is really good and hopefully an indication of more figures from this raid to come. the possibilities for this range are really interesting.

The 'mad jock' is also a good figure but, I am drawn to the former I really like some of the stuff that is done under the banner of 'collector figures'

Wonder what you guys think??

Iam with you Mitch the Skorzeny figure looks great the Jock Mactavish figure is certainly unusual but amazingly i once lived near Auchenshuggle in Glasgow and let me tell you a few folks there looked like Mactavish after a good skinful of whiskey and beer on a friday/saturday night , and that was just the women folk and they wore no underwear under their skirts either Lol Ken

Really like the look of Mr Skorzeny figure,I think I'd have him talking to Mr Rommel somewhere in North Africa:cool:

Skorzeny looks great and it was a great idea! Since the figure depicted is from the "RESCUE OPERATION" could this be a "hint" Andy will be developing an "ITALIAN FRONT" .. (I hope)

I strongly recommend the recently published book "Rescuing Mussolini" by Robert Forczyk in Osprey Publishing's new series "Raid". It has some excellent maps and pictures. Perhaps K & C could do some more figures from this event -Mussolini in coat and trilby and assorted German Paras - perhaps even a glider!

The Ospry Raid Pegasus Bridge is published in June. The one on the Bruneval Raid comes out in August.

Time ago Dragon manifactured a kit portraying some men of this famous Raid:

It 's an action greatly detailed in pictures and videos made by the propaganda..so every para and ss man who participated in it must be portrayed carefully..i think is a very good idea if Andy will do a Storch (in polystone) too..

The 1/6th figure was really good and now quite rare. I think this will have to be a campaign set as the interest now about this figure and the possibilities for extra sets and, to be able to say branch out and cover Monte Cassino would be very welcome additions to the K&C inventory

My uncle Tommy was at Cassino and lost his brother there and, went back every year after the war until he found his wherabouts its a range that would not only I think be popular but, would be very close to my heart in all sorts of ways.

Hi Mitch ..it is a battle close to my heart too..my father was a refugee from Caserta and spent many months hiding in a cave around there..it's a battle misunderstood by the traditional media (apart from a great number of books)..many valiant British, Commonwealth (Indian, New Zealand) Polish , Italian and yes Germans lost their life in the struggle for that place..

So true. I could not imagine what my family or indeed yours must have gone through, mind boggling. Not to mention the controversy over the decision to bomb the cathederal. But, it is an area that has not had much attention in terms of toy soldiers. Its a very interesting theatre for reading etc and whether I can call it fortunate I do not know but, having family (sadly not with us anymore) I have grown up on their stories and accounts.
