Small Snow Shoes bookcase diorama. (1 Viewer)

Thanks Pete,

I just read your message and panicked.

"Have some of your Brits changed sides?"

Everybody looks like they are in the right spot, what are you seeing?

Michael

Hi Michael,
Well it looks to me that SB-03 (27TH REGIMENT OF FOOT SERGEANT & CORPORAL) are on the wrong side! But I could be wrong!!

Pete

Very nice shelf display Michael. That is what I would like to make on my display. Snowshoe figures are my favorites. Thanks for the pictures. Leadmen

No Pete,

YOU ARE 100% right!!!:(

Michael

It's like that other winter battle called the Bulge where the Germans donned GI uniforms to infiltrate the enemy, so Mike I think you can get away with it.

Randy

I dunno Randy,

I think I got to fix this one, lol:(

I'm gonna repost the pics in just a few minutes.

Michael

Here we go, thank you Pete, really appreciate that, Michael.

Mike,
Great diorama. Makes me shiver just looking at the snow! Looks like you'll have 3 new French recruits soon!! IMO all of the BOS figures are outstanding. In my books one of the best ranges produced by anyone ever (In my humble opinion anyway). Your diorama shows them at their best.

Cheers

Yea, looks like you've been pretty busy too Tim.

I read the post where you robbed those poor vendors at the show, just "horse traded" them til they fell apart like a cheap suit.

Those $30 mounted go for $54 I think, heck of a deal for you.

Stretch your dollar, it always makes me feel good to get a deal.

I posted on your "EPIC BATTLE", it is an awesome display.

I spoke to Joe the other day and asked him how big your table was?

Joe said, "I dunno, but it's pretty big." :D:D:D Ha-ha!

So, how big is that thing?

Thanks Fish,

Michael

My tables not that big at all.:( I had to stick a card table on side of it and use pieces of foam laid across it to build up the hieght difference and make it larger. The grass mat on it is 4ft by 8ft and is just a wee tiny bit longer then the table but it beats having to set up on the floor.
As far as prices for figures go I always wheel and deal and if you don,t give me a deal I,ll just find someone else who will.:D

I just got back from Michael's and they have quite a few products we can use for dioramas.I picked up something called cracked ice and you mix it with water and it is suppose to simulate what else but cracked ice.

Hi Mark,

Assuming you utilize the cracked ice product, I would be interested in your impressions and your evaluation of the product. I assume other TF members would have the same interest.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

Pat,
I'm going to try it this weekend and I'll let everyone know the results.

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the information. I will eagerly wait for your assessment of the cracked ice. Good luck with the product!

Warmest personal regards,

Pat :)

That's one fine winter diorama Michael. You really caught the look of the great Northeast woodlands. And I thought you were a Southern gentleman - Who knew you were born and raised in New England.;) - Ken

Dragoon,

Born in Dallas, Texas, raised in Galveston, Texas.

I have seen snow about 6 times in my life.:D:D:D

If it looks right, all the credit goes to the products and John's figures, but thanks for the compliments.:D:D:D

Mark, yea, post some photos of that cracked ice, I'm curious.:confused::confused:

You might get in touch with Harrytheheids.

He posted some winterized terrain with ice sickles, and they looked really good. He deleted the photos, but sent me some upon request. He's a nice guy, really willing to help you.

But if you get the cracked ice, please show your work,

Thank,

Michael
